I enjoy writing because it allows me to disappear into the world of my own imagination; no-one else’s, just mine. Ever since I learned to read I have been enthralled by stories and poems, they captured my imagination. I can remember the Janet and John books from school and how I used them to tell my own stories for the characters to my siblings and, the adventures they had when I told their stories were nothing like the books. I enjoy writing all kinds of everything, hence the title of this blog. Now that I am in my late 50s, I want to write a novel, but I don’t feel confident about writing it. I suffer from Fyromyalgia which is a chronic pain and fatigue syndrome, therefore I tire easy and getting into a routine is often difficult. I am fine with writing on my blog, I doubt many people will see it anyway as there hasn’t been many visits, I am also doing the village newsletter and websites as they are for people I know. There are a lot of wonderful writers out there and I don’t believe that I am good enough to have my work published. However, my mother, who is 80 years of age has always encouraged me to keep writing and she informed me that she would like to read a novel of mine before she leaves this world for the next. This has become my inspiration to take my writing a more seriously. I consider myself a complete novice and I am looking to get all the advice that can to help me accomplish my goal. I have already started a novel, it is only 240 words at the moment and hopefully I can work on it and get it published.
i really love your writing…im enjoying your work and your creativity, dont say you not a good writer each writer has her or he’s own taste, so make your mother proud and write that novel…seeing as you loved to create characters, i was teh same way as a child. im still in my 20’s and i learn each and everyday to get one step towards my goal of being published…
