A soft gentle wind blowing softly through trees
Wild flowers dancing to welcome the bees
The red and the blue, the white and the green
Painting a picture, or dreaming a dream
Mountains wrapped up in a soft misty flow
Look down on the valleys and rivers below
Life passes over this wonderful scene
Painting a picture, or dreaming a dream
Such glorious visions too see and enjoy
An image of life, a thought to employ
Walking on air so fresh and so clean
Painting a picture, or dreaming a dream
Turning a corner where some things are dead
A harrowing sight, the green grass is red
A shadow now falls where life once had been
Painting a picture, or dreaming a dream
A red coloured sun escorting the dawn
A pale light to shine where life has long gone
A trickle of water shows a flowing light beam
Painting a picture, or dreaming a dream

Wonderful transitions… surreal, yet the possibilities lie before us. Must we not move forth as a people to help the green grasses grow for the generations to come.
Lovely imagery, Jeanie.

I, too, have dreamt of a red sun before! I like how the poem turns from soft, serene imagery into something ominous. Well done.
